Framing vs. Rotella for my old 7.3... not even close

I swapped from Rotella 15w-40 to Shell Rotella T6 full synthetic in my 2002 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke about 6 months ago. The old dino oil had it sounding a little clattery on cold starts in the winter here in Michigan. After the swap it fires up way quieter and seems to hold oil pressure better when it's idling hot. Has anyone else noticed a big difference going synthetic on a high mileage motor?

Gotta be real with you man, I've run both in my 7.3 and honestly didn't notice a night and day difference like some people claim. Maybe my ears are shot from years of diesel clatter, but the cold starts felt about the same to me. The oil pressure guage didn't really budge either way on mine. Feels like one of those things where placebo effect does a lot of the heavy lifting, you know?

Man people get real worked up over this stuff. It's just oil, it's not magic go juice. If your truck starts and runs fine, you're probably good no matter which bottle you grab off the shelf.
