Frozen air lines on I-80 near Salt Lake changed my whole winter setup
Last January I was running a 2018 Freightliner through a cold snap, temps hit -15 and the air dryer just couldnt keep up. Got a moisture freeze right at the trailer gladhand around mile 85, took me 45 minutes to thaw it with a torch and a heat gun. After that I started adding a second dryer cartridge and swapping the purge valve every 30k miles instead of 50k. Anyone else run a backup dryer setup for extreme cold or do you just trust the factory one?
