Got a stubborn injector out of a 6.0 Powerstroke by heating the housing with a map gas torch for 30 seconds first.

Always fought those things for hours, but a guy at the parts store in Tulsa said to try it and it popped right out. Anyone got a different trick for seized injectors on older Duramaxes?

But that heat can wreck the o-rings real quick.

Heard that trick works on a lot of stuff. I mean, we used a big slide hammer on a buddy's old Cummins once and it just made a worse mess.

Yeah, slide hammers are a gamble. I've seen them snap a bolt right off in a crank pulley, then you're drilling it out. Or they just chew up the threads on something like a wheel stud so bad it's trash. Sometimes that steady pressure from a real puller is the only safe way, even if it takes longer to set up.
