I chased injector noise for 3 days before checking the lift pump pressure
In my shop outside Tulsa, I pulled a 7.3 Powerstroke apart chasing a tick that turned out to be a tired lift pump starving the injectors at highway RPM. That 55 psi reading on the gauge made me realize I'd been blaming air in the lines for months when the pump was just weak. Anyone else skip the cheap fuel pressure test and go straight to tearing down the top end?
