My uncle told me to use a dab of honey on a stripped injector thread
He swore it would hold just long enough to get the new one in, and sure enough, it worked for the job on a 6.7 Powerstroke last Friday. What's the weirdest 'old timer' fix you've seen actually work?

Wait, you're seriously trusting honey to hold engine parts together? That sounds like a great way to end up with a bigger mess when it fails and you get honey in your fuel system. I've seen too many of these backyard fixes cause way more damage than they solve. Just because it worked once doesn't mean it's a good idea, you got lucky.
