Pulling a 466 block with a cherry picker vs. a gantry crane
Idk maybe it's just me but after fighting a 7.3 powerstroke out of an F-Series with a cherry picker last week I think I'd pay the extra 200 bucks for a gantry crane any day. Has anyone else here made the switch and felt the difference was that big?

Did it feel like the picker was gonna tip, @grant.nina? I had a similar scare with a 460 in an old F-250, the boom arc was brutal and I ended up with the block swinging way too close to my fender. Honestly, if you've got the space, I'd save up for a gantry crane to avoid that whole balancing act.

That 7.3 is a beast to pull with a cherry picker, how bad did the boom arc hit you when you had to clear the core support? I bet you had to tilt the tail of the block to get past the firewall and that's where the real headache started. Did the picker feel like it was gonna tip on you when you swung it around?
