Stumbled onto a trick for cleaning injector cups that actually works

I had a 6.0 Powerstroke that kept puking oil past the o-rings no matter how careful I was, then a buddy told me to hit the cups with a green scotchbrite pad before install. Has anyone else tried that or got a better method for getting a clean seal?

Man that's interesting! Did you hit it by hand or use a drill with the pad?

Hand-drilling keeps better control there, @christopher_sullivan.

I know a guy who tried using a drill on something similar and it grabbed and snapped the bit in half. He went back to hand drilling after that. Now he won't touch a power tool for anything like that unless it's a real emergency.
