Swapped my torque sequence after a blown head gasket in Billings

Last week I had a 7.3 that I'd torqued the same way for 12 years, then the gasket let go at 90k and I found out the old pattern was causing uneven clamp load. Took a class from an old Cummins guy who showed me the cross-bolt method, and I'm mad I never did it sooner. Anyone else had a long-standing habit get busted by actually checking the numbers?
