That rebuilt injector from last week already bit me on an 855
I put a reman injector in a guy's Cummins 855 last Tuesday and it ran rough by Friday. The nozzle tip looked fine on the bench but it was dripping at idle, and the spray pattern was garbage once I got it under a test light. Cost me a full Saturday plus a $140 core charge I'm still fighting with the supplier over. I've used this same brand for years in my shop outside Fresno, but this batch feels off. Has anyone else seen a bad run of reman injectors lately, or am I just unlucky twice in a row?

The nozzle tip looked fine on the bench" is the part that catches my eye, because that's usually where the problem hides on these reman units. A lot of shops skip the pop test and just check the spray pattern, but the cracking pressure can be off by 200 psi and still look okay to the naked eye. You might want to ask your supplier if they changed their calibration equipment or if this batch was made in a different plant, since that would explain why the old ones were good and these aren't.
