Tried a cheap injector puller from Harbor Freight and it bent on the third cylinder

I was working on a 7.3 Powerstroke last month and figured I'd save some cash with a $25 slide hammer puller. Got the first two injectors out fine, but on the third one the jaws just gave out and bent sideways. Had to wait two days for a decent OTC puller to show up, lost a weekend of work. Lesson learned: some tools you just can't cheap out on, especially when you're dealing with stuck injectors. Anyone else had a cheap tool let them down at the worst time?

Keep buying cheap tools and the headache just keeps compounding, man.

Compounding headaches is right, but cheap tools also wear out faster and end up in the landfill.

That $20 screwdriver set my buddy @danielmason bought stripped out on the second use (like, literally the second Phillips head it touched). At that point, the environmental cost of tossing it plus buying a new one makes the "cheap" option more expensive in every way that matters.
