Tried using a penny to gap an injector in a pinch
Truck ran rough for two days until I realized a penny is 0.060 inches and the spec was 0.010, has anyone else made a dumb spacer mistake?

420cc injectors on an Olds 307 actually. @rowan2 you're not wrong that penny was working way harder than it should have lol. I used to think any metal spacer would do the trick in a pinch but seeing the math on how much that tiny gap matters changed my mind real fast. 0.060 vs 0.010 is a huge difference when fuel delivery is that sensitive. That rough idle probably felt like the engine was trying to tell you something obvious.
