After 3 years of bouncing around, I finally realized coworking spaces weren't for me
I was in a WeWork in Bangkok last month, paying $300 a month for a hot desk, and I realized I hated every minute of it. The constant noise, the forced small talk, the way I'd zone out by 2pm and just scroll. What tipped me off was when I started working from a quiet noodle shop in a side soi instead and got twice as much done in half the time. I thought I needed the 'community vibe' but really I just need good wifi and a spot to focus. Anyone else figure out that the whole coworking hype is overrated for actual deep work?

I mean, working from a noodle shop isn't exactly a long term solution either, right? For some of us the coworking buzz actually helps us stay focused, I'd be way too distracted by the smell of broth and people eating nearby.

Totally agree, the bustle helps me lock in too, noodle shop would just make me hungry.
