Coworking vs coffee shop coworking in Medellin for a month
I spent my first week bouncing between random coffee shops in Medellin and barely got through 2 client projects because of noise and spotty wifi. Then I tried a proper coworking space for $150 a month and finished 8 projects in the next 3 weeks with way less stress. Has anyone else found that paying a little extra for a desk totally changed their workflow?

@oscarb77 nailed it. I did the same thing in Bangkok last year, cheap coffee shops for a week then broke down and paid $130 for a real desk, night and day difference.

$150 a month for a desk sounds about right for that kind of jump in productivity. It's like how I noticed people will spend twenty bucks on fancy coffee and pastries all week just to sit somewhere uncomfortable, when a real desk with a quiet room is right there for the same price. We do this weird thing where we think saving a few dollars means we're being smart, but we end up wasting way more time and energy fighting bad setups.
