DAE think coworking spaces are a complete waste of money?

I spent $200 on a month pass at a Bali coworking spot and got less done than I do at a noisy coffee shop, so has anyone else found these places just turn into social clubs instead of actual work zones?

Ngl those places are just branding as a social club and charging you for the privilege of being distracted. You pay for the "vibe" and end up spending more time justifying the cost to yourself than actually working. Coffee shops at least know they're just selling caffeine and WiFi, no false promises about productivity.

Man I actually tried one of those places last month and spent like 45 minutes trying to figure out their weird app just to order a coffee. Got so frustrated I just left and went to the Dunkin down the street. Sometimes simpler is better lol.

I just bring my own coffee from home and a thermos now. It saves me the headache of dealing with apps or waiting in line for something that takes two minutes to make. If I really need WiFi I go to the library or just use my phone hotspot. Saves me a ton of money too, honestly. Dunkin's always a solid backup though, they know what they are.
