Just realized most coworking spaces in Asia close at 6pm and it's messing with my workflow
I was looking at coworking options in Chiang Mai last week and found out that a ton of them shut their doors by 6pm sharp. I usually get my best coding done after dinner around 8pm, so that's a real bummer. One place I checked even said they lock up at 5pm on Fridays. I ended up working from a Starbucks three nights in a row, but the wifi there kept dropping. Has anyone else run into this issue in Southeast Asia? Any tips on finding good late-night spots that are safe and have reliable internet?

Loads of 24hr Korean cafes in Chiang Mai with better wifi than Starbucks.

Oh gosh, that sounds wonderful. I really miss the days when you could just find a quiet corner somewhere with a decent cup of coffee and get some work done without the noise and the bright lights. Starbucks has become so crowded and impersonal lately, it's hard to focus. Having a proper workspace with reliable internet and a calm atmosphere is such a simple thing, but it makes a world of difference when you're trying to get anything done. I think that kind of setup would be a real lifesaver for a lot of us who just need a solid place to sit and work.

Remember my buddy Tom who programs those fancy coffee machines? He spent two months in Chiang Mai last year working remotely. Found this one Korean place called Mom's that had these little private booths with power outlets and a card system where you buy time at the counter like a library. He said the internet was so fast he could upload whole video files in minutes, and they served this cold brew that'd keep you going all night. He still talks about that place like it was some kind of paradise.
