Lost $200 on a co-working membership I used twice

I signed up for a premium co-working space in Chiang Mai thinking it would boost my productivity, but the WiFi was slower than my hostel and the AC barely worked. After two visits I just stopped going and they refused to refund the monthly fee. Has anyone else gotten burned by hyped-up co-working spots abroad?

Honestly that AC thing sounds like the bigger issue" No, the WiFi is the whole point. If I'm paying for a premium workspace and it can't even load a webpage, the temperature doesn't matter.

Honestly that AC thing sounds like the bigger issue, not really the WiFi

Wait, hold up - the WiFi was actually SLOWER than a hostel? That is genuinely wild to me. I mean, even the cheapest hostels I've stayed at in SEA had basic internet that could at least load a YouTube video or whatever. How do you pay extra for a "premium" workspace and end up with worse internet than the backpacker dorm next door? Maybe it's just me but that feels like a specific kind of scam, you know?
