Remember when you had to buy a local SIM card at the airport as soon as you landed?

I was in Bangkok 5 years ago and the first thing I did was hunt for a DTAC kiosk and try to explain a data plan. Now I just turn on my phone and my eSIM from Airalo connects automatically before I even get off the plane. What's the one travel hassle that just disappeared for you without you really noticing?
