Saw a post from a guy bragging about working from a beach in Thailand and all I could think was how's your wifi when it rains
That picture perfect setup with the laptop and the palm tree never shows the hour you lose hunting for a cafe with a table that doesn't kill your back and outlets that actually work, has anyone else found a solid spot in Chiang Mai that's not overrun with influencers yet?

Honestly, is it really that deep though? Like yeah, the back pain thing is real, but you can fix that by just getting a cheap lumbar cushion from 7-Eleven. Ngl, half the time people complain about this stuff they're just looking for a reason to hate on people who made a different choice. Tbh I've worked from way worse spots than a Chiang Mai cafe, like the break room at my old job that smelled like old fish and microwaved broccoli.

Wonder what your old break room choice says about you, @loganl22?

Oh man I just read this whole thread on a productivity blog about how your break room choice actually predicts your work style. Apparently people who pick the quiet corner with their back to the wall are more introverted but focused, while folks who sit right in the middle near the coffee machine are social connectors. The blog mentioned something called "spatial psychology" where the spot you claim says a lot about how you handle stress. That old fish and broccoli smell thing though - I remember my cousin telling me about her office microwave that would make the whole break room smell like burnt popcorn and feet. Made me wonder if part of the break room choice is just survival instinct more than personality.
