Switching from coworking spaces to cafes saved me $400 a month
I spent six months in Chiang Mai working out of a fancy coworking spot for $150 a month, then tried cafes for a week and barely spent $30 on coffee. The internet is fine, the iced lattes are cheap, and honestly I get more work done without the office vibe. Anyone else ditch the dedicated desk and just bounce between cafes instead?

Hold up, that sounds like a NIGHTMARE for my workflow. I tried the cafe life for a week and my battery died by 2pm, the wifi kicked me out three times, and I had to keep buying stuff just to stay. Now I'm back at my coworking spot because I need that stable power outlet, a PRINTER that works, and a place where I can take a real phone call without someone's blender going off. Plus, that $400 savings is nothing if you lose a client because your Zoom call kept dropping.

Oh totally @nelson.nancy, nothing says "professional" like taking a Zoom call while someone's frothing a latte two feet away (sorry, can you unmute yourself? I couldn't hear you over the sound of my laptop fan screaming for mercy). The cafe "savings" really just get eaten up by anxiety and overpriced oat milk lattes anyway.
