That one Thursday where everything went right for once

I had a day in Chiang Mai last month where my internet held steady for 8 hours straight, a client actually paid early, and I found a legit coworking spot with free coffee refills. Made me suspicious honestly, like the universe was setting me up for something bad the next day. Has anyone else had a perfect day that made you paranoid instead of grateful?

Used to roll my eyes at people who said they got nervous when things were going too well. Then I had a day where my bus arrived early, the coffee shop had my favorite pastry, and I got a parking spot right in front. Sat in my car for five minutes just waiting for something to go wrong before I realized that was pretty sad.

Honestly I read something recently about how our brains get wired to expect problems because that's what keeps us alert and safe. So when everything lines up perfectly it actually triggers that same alert system because your brain can't figure out what threat to look for. Tbh realizing that waiting in your car was just your brain doing its job makes it way less sad and just kinda human.
