My patchy grass went from brown to green in about six weeks after I started a new watering schedule.
I was only watering for ten minutes every morning, but a guy at the garden center said to do a deep soak for an hour, twice a week instead. The change was huge, but now I'm worried about my water bill. Has anyone else seen results like this with less water?

Check if your city has a rebate for installing a smart sprinkler controller (they can save a ton by adjusting for weather).

Great point from @skyler_thomas. My city had a rebate that covered most of the cost. The weather-based settings really do cut down on water waste.

Yeah, it's wild how much tech is just quietly fixing old problems now. My old thermostat ran the AC full blast even on cool summer nights, and my streetlights used to stay on all day. Now everything's getting a bit of sense, you know? It feels like we're finally plugging the dumb leaks, from sprinklers to power grids, and it just makes things run smoother without anyone even noticing.
