Finally found a way to keep my gravel path from washing out every spring
I have a sloped section in my yard in Portland, and my gravel path would just disappear after the heavy rains (you know how it is). I tried landscape fabric, but the gravel still shifted. This year, I dug a 4-inch trench along the edge and laid in these cheap plastic lawn edging strips, but I buried them almost completely, leaving just half an inch above grade. I backfilled with soil and packed it down. It's been through two big storms now and the gravel hasn't moved an inch. Has anyone else tried something like this on a hill, or did you find a better fix?
