Showerthought: Why my neighbor's flamingo obsession saved my patio project

In my experience, most people hate lawn ornaments, but I think they're secretly useful. Last summer, I was laying a stone patio and kept tripping over uneven ground. My neighbor's collection of pink flamingos actually helped me mark the spots that needed leveling. We had a good laugh when I thanked him for the accidental survey tools.
