Man I heard pallet wood is great but you gotta sand it down first or you'll be picking splinters for a month.

Oh man, don't forget the chemicals though. A lot of those pallets are treated with stuff you probably don't want in your living room. Like, some are literally marked with MB for methyl bromide and that's no joke.
