Watched my neighbor lay sod wrong for 3 hours last Saturday
He put those rolls straight across the slope instead of following the contour, and I just stood there sipping my coffee knowing every drop of rain is gonna wash that whole yard out. Has anyone else had to bite their tongue watching a DIY project go sideways?

Man that's brutal, I've been there. Thing is, it's like people think shortcuts save time but they really just make twice the work later. Same thing happened with my buddy who painted his deck last summer, didn't bother to clean the old stain off first. Now it's peeling all over and he has to sand the whole thing down. I swear half of DIY is just learning the hard way that doing it right the first time is actually the faster option. Watching someone skip the basics is painful because you know they'll be out there again in a few months redoing it.

Is it really that deep though? I mean yeah it's annoying when stuff peels but sanding a deck isn't exactly rocket science, it's just an afternoon of work. Half the time people on here act like a botched paint job is a life sentence when really it's just a minor inconvenience.
