Finally got that curved archway in the old house on Elm Street to look right. Took me three full days to figure out the blocking.

Plaster's the worst for that. It's brittle and old. You drive a nail in, the whole wall can spiderweb. Sounds like tiny cracks spreading out. Happened at my mom's place. Whole section just crumbled.
