Saw a new hotel going up in Phoenix using a different corner bead system
They were using a paper-faced metal bead instead of the vinyl I'm used to, and the install looked faster. Has anyone tried this on a big commercial job?

My crew in Tucson used that system on a motel remodel last spring.

Wait, that system is all metal clips and tracks. No plastic parts at all. Maybe your supplier sent the wrong stuff? We had the same worry about heat warping, but the aluminum held up fine. Even in direct Arizona sun on that south facing wall. If the clips are snapping, they aren't the right ones.

That system was a total headache on our last job. The plastic clips kept snapping in the heat, and we lost a whole day fixing a wall that went out of square. Sometimes the old way with wood blocking and screws is just faster and stronger. What did your crew do when things didn't line up perfectly?
