Warning: That no-tape corner trick is a myth

Tried it on a bathroom remodel and the seams opened up instantly. Now I tape every time, but it still feels slow. What's the fastest way you've found to tape corners without messing up?

Oh man, I learned that the hard way too, and I even bought the stupid t-shirt that says 'corner perfection' as a joke. The fastest method for me now is a 6-inch knife and the pre-filled corner tape you can get. It's still finicky, but if you press it firm and immediately wipe off the extra mud with a wet rag, you avoid those nasty ridges and air bubbles later. Still end up fixing a spot or two, but it beats the old way by a mile.

That "corner perfection" t-shirt is too real. But is it ever that serious? Most corners end up behind a bookshelf or a piece of furniture. Even on a plain wall, you hang a picture or something and nobody ever notices a tiny ridge. I get wanting it to look good, but sweating over air bubbles feels like overkill for something you'll literally never look at again.

So you're saying the wet rag trick is key? What about when the mud starts to dry too fast, ever have that issue?
