Appreciation post: I wasted $350 on a 'professional' facial steamer that broke after two uses.

I mean, maybe it's just me but I bought the 'Glow Mist Pro' unit last month and the heating element just died, so has anyone found a brand that actually lasts?

Most purchase protection plans only cover 90 to 120 days after you buy something.

Yeah I always thought those plans were basically useless too. But that extra year from a credit card actually saved me when my laptop died after like 14 months. It's a solid backup plan for sure.

Did you check if your credit card has any purchase protection? Some cards add an extra year of warranty on electronics, so you might be able to get your money back that way. I had a similar thing happen with a different gadget and filing a claim was easier than I thought. It's worth looking into before you buy a whole new one.
