Why lymph drainage is non-negotiable in my facials now
Learned it in a workshop. Results shocked me. Client's puffiness gone quick. Now part of every facial. Skin looks better.

Yeah the puffiness going away quick is no joke. I start with just light pressure under the jaw and work down the sides of the neck. Like, super gentle, you're not trying to rub hard. Doing those strokes from behind the ears down to the collarbones a few times makes a visible difference before you even put on a mask. It's crazy how much stuff is just sitting there waiting to be moved along.

Totally stealing that method from @the_riley. Tried it out this morning and I'm already a big fan.

It's funny how the stuff that actually works is usually just basic maintenance. We wait for a big fix when really it's the small, regular moves that keep things flowing. Like clearing a drain before it clogs instead of calling the plumber after it's flooded.

So when the_riley mentioned light pressure under the jaw, it reminded me of this book I skimmed where it explained how lymph fluid just kind of sits there if you don't move it. The writer called it a lazy river that needs a nudge, not a shove. That got me thinking about how we often overlook the simple stuff in favor of fancy treatments. Gentle really is the key because you're just helping along what's already there, not forcing it. My mom always said beauty routines should feel good, not hurt, and this totally fits that idea.
