I'm sick of pretending $5 cold brew is worth it

Last Tuesday I paid $5.75 for a cold brew at a shop in Portland and it tasted like dirty water. I've been telling myself it's a treat but honestly it's a ripoff. I could buy a whole bag of beans for that price and make it myself for a week. Has anyone else noticed these coffee shops just watering down the concentrate?

@derekward right, for that price you could buy a whole case of bottled water at the store.

Dirty water though" is a stretch. @derekward it's just regular tap water from a bodega or something, not a puddle on the sidewalk. But yeah five seventy five for a bottle of tap water is still a bad deal. You could get a whole gallon of the good spring water for like two bucks at the grocery store. I think people just pay for the convenience of not having to carry their own bottle around.
