Lost my nice pair in the surf at Galveston last Saturday, but the cheap ones from the Shell station stayed on my head through three waves and a wind gust, so is anyone else just done paying for fancy shades that disappear?
Walked 2.3 miles on my lunch break Tuesday just to see the pedometer tick past 10,000 by 11:40 AM. Felt like a champion for about five seconds, then realized I had nothing left for the rest of the day. My afternoon meeting notes turned into scribbles because my legs were done. Now I'm sitting at my desk in Des Moines with sore calves and a wrap-up email I can't focus on. Who else has ruined their whole day by winning too early? How do you pace yourself without turning it into a chore?
